Alone Doesn't Mean Lonely

This portrait is dear to my heart, my husband and I bought it as newlyweds for our dining room and I fell in love with it from the minute I saw it. One day I was sitting staring at it, and I started imagining what it would be like to walk on that porch, listen to the soft sound of the waves, explore the city beyond and suddenly I had a paper and pen in front of me and a story started coming to life. It was more a YA novel than a children's book, every few days I would go back to it and continue the journey in the world created but I reached a point where I got stuck and stopped. I still have the story and every time I look at this portrait I remember it and itch to go back to that adventure and see what happens next, but I still don't feel it's time yet. Maybe someday I will finish it and be able to share it with the world. For now I'll wait till I know it's time. ✨ Inspiration can come from the simplest things, we just have to let our minds imagine and ponder. There's nothing wrong with enjoying some quiet time alone to just think. I find it inspires me..makes me question and explore..and helps me feel relaxed and organized...For truly, alone doesn't mean lonely. ✨

So here's to enjoying the quiet moments!

With peace and smiles,
